About Me

Andrew Towe is an Audio Engineer currently living in Regina, Saskatchewan. His passion for sound and music lead him to pursue a career working with audio.

He completed an intensive 18-month program at The Centre for Arts and Technology, where he studied Audio Engineering & Production. He acquired the practical skills related to Audio Engineering and Production, and learned various techniques in post-production audio for film, television, and video games.

Some important skills include: editing, mixing, mastering, ADR, SFX, sound design, foley, field recordings, location audio, music theory, songwriting and the process of writing musical compositions.

My Goal

It's a lot of fun to record and create sounds, it's a lot of fun to experiment with sound, and it's a lot of fun to tell stories with sound. I want to provide users and viewers that same sense of excitement and delight, as well as emotional depth.

I consider my job complete if I can influence a person's comprehension of their environment, game, or project through sound. "It's not only about creating a sound for a specific aspect, but also about making the game, story, film, or project feel authentic."

Inspiration and Influences

Andrew found inspiration to pursue a career as an Audio Engineer because he has always had a fascination with sound and music in video games, film, and television since he was young.

Always pointing out the similarities, differences, positives and negatives to the sounds and music that is being presented to him.

It has always been his passion and goal to motivate, inspire and encourage other people through sound and music.

Hobbies

Hobbies and interests are a very vital part of life. Andrew believes in strong work ethic, but also values a healthy work-life balance and believes going into a project with a fresh and reset mindset greatly helps to improve creative production, problem solving and energy levels.
